FootStep Run :
The FootStep Run is Saundersfoot doing what it does best. A mass participation event organised by the community for the community. Everyone from the butcher, the baker, the real ale pullers to the frothy coffee makers and all those in between and beyond, young and old, fit and not so fit, don their sneakers and abandon their sofas to flood the village in feel good factor to raise money for charity.
This year is the 2nd Edition of the FootStep Run and will take place on the evening of Friday 12th July.
No one needs to feel left out because there are achievable distances for all, you certainly won’t need to be Mo Farah to take part.
The ½ mile traffic-free children’s race (Under 12s) will get the festivities going at 6.30pm.
Then at 7pm, for the 14yrs and overs the choice is yours (Children 12-14yrs; Adults 14+);
3 separate distances of 1, 3 and 5 Miles on a route heading up The Strand and onwards through the old railway tunnels along the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline. If you’re not a fan of conventional running kit why not opt for fancy dress – No village festivity is complete without it, in fact we highly promote it. Deep-sea divers & gorillas will be welcomed with open arms and cheers a plenty. Prizes will be on offer for the best attired individuals and teams.
Whether you walk, run, sprint or support, everyone’s a winner because all monies raised will be used to support local charities and volunteer organisations.
The best news yet; you won’t break the bank to take part :– Under 14s – £5, Adults – £10.
No one will head home empty-handed because all runners will get a limited edition Footstep run medal as well as the satisfaction of knowing that they have helped bring the village alive and get the TenFoot – FootStep Challenge Weekend underway.
Come on, join in the fun and be part of an exciting and wonderful Community Event.
